My name is Sean, and I work with Food on the Table -- a meal and grocery planning business located in Austin, Texas.

The reason I'm emailing you today is because Food on the Table has started a new program where we honor the most exceptional food bloggers. We noticed your blog because you have referenced our site in the past(http://culinarytravels.co.uk/2011/07/12/eating-local-by-james-kim/), the content that your blog offers is exceptional, and you have quite a following.

We want to present you with an official and copyrighted sidebar badge for your blog that will distinguish you as an “Everyday Foodie”, but also distinguish your blog as a go-to source for information regarding food and health-related topics.

Food on the Table is very excited to have you as an “Everyday Foodie”, and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Best Regards,

Hi all,

How do you manage to even go through all those books, never mind making and testing the recipes? I think that I would end up getting so confused that I wouldn't even know what to make.

I have about 10 cookbooks and a scapbook that I paste recipes into cut out of magazines etc. Funnily enough I find that most of my favourite recipes come from the scrap book.

An awesome collection though, must have a pretty be bookshelf for that lot.

It looks like brownies. Hope I could find Nanaimo bars here. Delicious kind of brownies like this one is hard to find here. And the only brownies I could make is the simple one. The one with nuts as the toppings. Nice post!. XD

I was given a quince tree by my husband as a present about 4 years ago; last year it bore 10 quinces, this year 6. However, they don't seem to have that lovely fragrance people mention. I left them later this year, until end of October, to pick, in case I picked them before they were ripe last year, but they started to fall off the tree, so thought I'd lose the lot if I didn't pick them. You can't tell if they are ripe by squeezing them, as they are so hard. I'd bought quinces before I had the tree, from a local greengrocer, and they didn't have the perfume either. I used the Jane Grigson recipe for quince paste on that occasion, but it just tasted sweet, disappointing as it was quite complicated to make. Any advice would be welcome. Is it the variety, do you think? They look lovely. Have tried her quince vodka this year with my quinces (before I saw your site) but am wondering if there will any flavour to the liqueur if the quinces don't smell perfumed.

My Mum loves making baba ganoush but I've never tried - perhaps this can be the recipe to help me! It certainly looks delicious and I love the idea of the smoky flavours.

I have always love baba ganoush. I used to buy it from a local Lebanese restaurant but now I am going to make my own. This sounds delicious, thank you!
